About the song:

I was inspired to write the song “Fighting My Way Back Home” because I didn’t feel the soldiers of the Vietnam/Korean wars, excuse me, “conflicts” ever really got their propers upon coming home.  As a result, I wanted to write a song that would hopefully enlighten the listener so that the soldiers today would not have to fight the same kind of disrespect as their predecessors.

With that said, Fighting My Way Back Home” is a song about a soldier whose courage exceeds the call of duty on and beyond the battlefield. This song is really about how hard it is for a soldier to truly “find their way back home” even after their tour of duty is through. And how perseverance pays off in the end.

Lest we forget their sacrifices, we as Americans owe every soldier of every conflict/war a debt we can never repay. I hope we will all remember that a Soldier shouldn’t have to continue “fighting their way back home”
